This weekend is really going to be go-time for South Dakota (okay, last weekend was a heck of a start before it turned cold).

The forecast calls for highs in the 50’s and 60’s in Mitchell, SD this weekend with moderate to heavy south winds.

Lots of geese stacked on the Missouri River section from Lewis & Clark Lake to Lake Andes.  Look for a big migration over I-90 this weekend with birds hitting the sheetwater fields around the Highway 212 corridor.

I expect Sand Lake to see it’s first birds by Monday or Tuesday.
